Background
CJ Audas
Born in Mtwara (location for the Blue Lagoon movie), an idyllic part of Tanganyika (now Tanzania). My childhood was spent in many exotic locations thanks to my father’s job as a surveyor: the rugged bush of Kenya, a tobacco farm in Southern Rhodesia (Zimbabwe), the remote Luangwa Valley Game Reserve and Lake Kariba (during the building of the world’s largest man-made lake).
Attended boarding school in South Africa at the age of twelve. Married in the monarchy of Swaziland. Volunteered in the South African civil defence and helped my husband build a 40’ ocean going yacht. I now live on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.
Samahani (Kiswahili word that means "I'm sorry"). Used to apologize for pain or misfortune that is your fault. This is the first of my four novels to be published. They are all romantic action thrillers. This is the only book set in Africa. My love of storytelling started at the age of eight whilst living in a remote part of Zimbabwe on the Zambezi River. Escaping my tutor, I’d go to my favourite rock pool, filled with tiny green turtles, and spend the day daydreaming adventure stories. Not realising, at the time, my own life was full of adventures.
Samahani took five years to research and three years of sending it off to assessment services. The feedback I received was immensely valuable and positive. I encourage you to join my newsletter if you'd like to receive notifications about my upcoming novel releases.
